Structure Electrical Alumina Insulation Macor Machinable Ceramic Substrate
1.Product description
Machinable Glass Ceramic has a continuous use temperature of 800C and a peak temperature of 1000C. Its coefficient of thermal expansion readily matches most metals and sealing glasses. It processes good machinability and can be lathed, milled, planed, ground, bored, incised and threaded. It also has the advantages of insulation, pore-free, high/low-temperature resistant, acid and alkali resistant and thermal impact resistant.
1.Magnetic susceptibility ≤ 1.2× 10-6
2.Dielectric constant 6~7
3.Breakdown voltage ≥ 15 KV/mm
4.Flexural strength ≥ 108Mpa
5.Fracture Modulus 15000bf/in2
6.Impact toughness ≥ 3.8 KJ/m2
7.Knoop Hardness 176~343 kg/mm2
8.Volume density 2.5~2.8 g/cm3
9.Range of operating temperature -200~+1000C
10.Thermal expansion coefficient ≤ 94× 10-7 /K
11.Thermal conductivity ≥ 1.7W/m@K
Glass ceramics can be machined with conventional metal working machinery. It is not necessary to sinter after machining, because strength, hardness and zero-porosity remain intact during machining. Machinable glass ceramic have the following power feature.
MGC: Machinable glass ceramic have the following applications:
a) Electrical or thermal insulator
b) Structural components
c) Semi-conductor processing
d) Electrical and opto-electronic equipment
e) Many other uses.
